It will, and then it won't, and then it will again. My favorite quote regarding this feeling is from a fictitious Klingon Therapist: "The battle against mental illness cannot be won decisively. It is a long campaign against an enemy who never tires, whose forces swell to twice their size whenever you look away. Battle against a foe of such magnitude, who occupies your very mind… every moment you survive is a triumph against all odds. There is no more honorable combat." It's hard to believe it's possible that there will be more good days than bad days, but like anything else having depression takes a lot of practice. You will keep learning new coping mechanisms, having new experiences that create new views on life, and you will continue to get better at separating your depression from your own mind

Yes, it sadly might take a while. But it will get better. To have a good you must have a bad.

Yes, depression tricks you into thinking it never will and any time it was ever better wasn't real or true or whatever. Depression is a liar. It gets better. You will feel good and the good is good enough to outweigh the bad I promise.

Hang in there, things will get better. I find listening to uplifting music helps too, all the best 🤗

Yes, it can get better. Many people have experienced improvements in their mental health through time, support, therapy, and medication. However, progress may not be linear, and it's essential to be patient and persistent in seeking help and treatment.
