I have Oral Allergy Syndrome, which basically means I’m allergic to certain plants, but my body misreads the proteins in certain fruits, vegetables, and nuts and thinks they are the allergens. Anyways, lately random foods have been making me have reactions, tonight I finally cracked the case. SOYBEAN OIL! Apparently it’s similar to birch pollen and that’s why my body’s reacting to it. Idk really, all I know is that all the foods that I have had mystery reactions to have soybean oil in them and this is going to suck to avoid.

Soybean Oil is in nearly every popular bread and preprepared food. My best advice is to check all the ingredients in everything you buy to make sure soybean oil is not in there.

The person with Oral Allergy Syndrome discovered that their body reacts to soybean oil, as it is similar to birch pollen. This causes allergic reactions when they consume foods containing soybean oil, making it difficult for them to avoid.
