Cystic Acne from Metformin?

Onda, have you tried cutting out dairy? For yeeeaaarrrrzzz I struggled with PCOS. I relied on birth control to control it...until I developed a blood clotting disorder and massive DVT down my leg and had to pull the plug. Spironolactone and good ol fashioned excercise couldn't cut it, either. Decided pulling the plug entirely on all dairy. That continues to have the greatest effect. Even my ovaries, let alone my skin show far fewer cysts. (FYI-It's not the lactose, it's the casein protein that wreaks havoc.)

i haven’t experienced this. i’d be surprised if it’s related because my dermatologist is the one who prescribed me metformin (for HS) but everyone reacts differently so talk to your doc about it!
