If you notice a pattern in the time of day you feel most productive then start there. Im most productive during evening/night times (anywhere between 8pm and 2am) so I find it easier to get myself to do self care at those times

Depends on the type of self care. For keeping yourself clean, you can try wipes or just washing up in the sink. It's a lot easier than showering. For skin care, limit the number of steps you do. You can just wash your face and apply a moisturizer. Try to do it earlier in the day if it's hard to do it at night. For taking care of your health, try eating one healthy thing a week like a piece of fruit, a vegetable, smoothies, etc. Work your way up from there. Set aside time to schedule doctors appointments by setting an alarm or writing in your planner. Then reward yourself when you're done. (Preferably not with food but with a hobby.) For exercise, try 3-5 minutes (or even one!) And see how you feel after that. If you want to do more, do more. It's really important to find an exercise you enjoy or else you won't stick with it. But you won't know if you like it until you try it. Walking and doing chores count as exercise btw. Stretching does too! You just don't burn as much as with other exercises.

@SalineTurnip thank you it's mainly things like washing and looking after myself to be honest. The simple steps for face washing is helpful thank you I'll give that a try. Luckily the food thing isn't too much of an issue for me as I've had to persuade myself to eat to start the day for the past 10 years or so 😅. The reward thing worked a treat for me by the way so thank you so much I managed to do my household stuff today 😊. Unfortunately I need to be careful with exercise as I have a huge issue with starting, going overboard and not stopping so I tend to avoid it now really 😅.

@LilithEnby that's great. I'm glad you managed to get things done today. Maybe for exercise, you can set a time limit and to make sure you stick to it, make plans to do something afterward. For example, plan to exercise at 3 then plan to meet up with a friend at 4 so you have to stop by 3:30 to get ready and get to your next appointment.
