I recommend for picking hair like a rubber string ball. The one negative to those is they can get super dirty if left in a purse. For me personally I just need something to keep my hands busy and I keep a rubber string ball in case of emergency. The way I got into fidgets is by just searching "fidget pack" on amazon and I just picked a pack of four that was cheap but some what durrable so I could see what I liked the best and order a better replacement when it inevitably broke. TLDR: for picking I recommend a rubber string ball. And to find what fidgets work for you get a pack of cheap ones and order better ones of the ones you like specifically.

I would either pick grass or my arm hair until mom got me a few fidget toys. I highly recommend fidget toys if you pick at your body when your either nervous or just don't want to be involved but don't want to be on your phone either.
