@DariaFae see I agree I need quite my husband And I are opposite I know I have insomnia n I rather not wake him and ruin his night because he goes for dialysis 3 x a week so on my sleepless nights I go to the living room He gets mad but doesn’t seem to understand how it feels to go through this mental battle on a daily😞

Unfortunately we all have to de with our conditions and it’s hard but thankfully and very comforting to know I’m not alone and I’m definitely not crazy dealing with my personal battles 🥰

I hear ya there, always thinking never stoping. Chamomile tea is my favorite, I like to look for the ones that don't have extra stuff in them, I think I have a Chamomile lemon. I don't know what it is about this stuff it just shuts me down. Also I noticed if I don't move alot or drink enough water during the day I can't sleep.

@Crazycatlady100 very true. Good excersise can work the body enough to promote sleep. When my no sleep gets really bad I start my intermittent fasting and after 1-2 weeks my body gets right back on track. Lol, because of being scared of the dark and sleeplessness from bad dreams right now I just have to listen to stories and I've been sleeping pretty deeply. Heck even last night I was up until past 3am... just couldn't sleep, but now it's about 7 and I'm up. About to shower again lol, just took one yesterday and get ready for work. Also even 5 minutes of morning excersise will make you feel amazing. It's a huge difference. There's many reasons why people workout in the mornings.

Abilify was horrible for me. I took it some years back and it caused me to have mania and feel homicidal I was restless, agitated, had insomnia and anger issues. Only took it for 10 days and then I was done!

@Serenity_Love I took abilify that was scary I felt like a zombie 🧟‍♀️ I’d be awake talking one minute then out the next it was frustrating because people started accusing me of using drugs again when I’d been clean over a year hated it

Listening to a story on Google play books helps me. I find one with a nice voice i like, not a scary one though. I had bad dreams from the one. When I woke up though I just laughed about it. I had no idea where that dream came from lol. Wasn't a very good book either. Helps me sleep faster and stay in a deep sleep. P S I typically need it quite to sleep no background TV or anything. TV is just distracting though to me.

@DariaFae I watch the same movie every night so it doesn't distract me.

Agreed I think it may be part of my ADHD and if I took melatonin and didn't lay down right aways to try to sleep it would make my ADHD really bad and it would make me sob and scream.

@RiverD I was thinking I may have bee diagnosed wrong first the doctor thought I was schizophrenic but then reevaluated me the I was manic bipolar depressive and now I’m like LISTEN TO ME doctors I know I have anxiety bad but I’m thinking I may have ADHD PTSD not bipolar I’ve been doing a lot of swimming at night to relax and ease my mind it’s kinda work but still can’t sleep

I use these sleep gummies that use L-theanine. It's an amino acid that may help calm your brain before bed. They also have chamomile, passionflower, and lemon balm which also help relax. There's a little bit of melatonin in them but i think the other stuff works better for me.
