Do your chest muscles end up hurting to the point that it’s hard to breathe? I have this issue at times and it’s very bothersome. It’s like I have to take shallow breaths so that my chest doesn’t have to expand.

@ScientistInPain my chest area isn’t painful to the touch, normally. Only when I’m having a fibromyalgia flare up. That’s good to know though, I’ll look it up!

I got costochondritis after having covid in March 2020 and have been unable to get rid of that chest pain and tightness since. But my ribs are sensitive to the touch, so that's a telltale sign it's costo. I can't take anti-inflammatories because of my chronic migraines and daily headache I would get the worst rebound headaches/migraines from taking the dose of Advil they recommend.

Is it tight around your ribs or in your chest cavity?

@ace28 around my ribs, not in the chest cavity.
