My therapist says that a good grounding technique is to stop trying to think of all the reasons why he isn't texting (easier said then done, I know) and instead sit down and ask yourself "Has anything bad ever happened before?" "How realistic are my thoughts based on other REAL tangible proof?" And then remind yourself that most people (not us because anxiety. Woo.) don't always check their phones or respond right away. It doesn't mean he's angry or doing something shady. And trust me, you'll be so proud of yourself for not creating more stress. ❤️
