I usually have to physically get away from food to stop myself. Like leave my house and go on a walk. Then I go back once the urge subsides. Grounding techniques, like naming things of each color of the rainbow or box breathing help a lot too!!

I'm the same way. When i stress i eat. I usually try to avoid my fridge and pantry by reading a book or going for a walk. It's help me cause it takes.my mind off the need for food and takes your mind of stress. Hopefully it works for you. But everyone is different. You yourself have the mental capacity to tell you body no. It takes strength. But you got this!
