Also I’ve been struggling a lot with my boyfriend lately like we never talk and I never met his parents and we both like each other but hate ourselves and I think we need a break to work on that and come back to it when it’s time we both struggle with heavy depression I need help

To be honest, in my opinion and experience, I think a break would be beneficial. I was in a relationship similar to that, and we ended up hurting each other a lot because our mental states weren't ready for a serious relationship such as that. If you do decide on a break, be sure to clarify that it's for the well-being of both of you, that it isn't because you two need to improve on your own in your own ways– that doesn't mean you don't have to be in each other's lives though!
