i work in a pharmacy and we always get 111 requests for inhalers, a lot of people donā€™t know this but in some asda branch pharmacies they do a service where you can buy inhalers, that might be something to bare in mind. also try and get the gp to issue you two inhalers at a time as a spare or speak to ur local pharmacy if u ever feel like you will run out and see if they will do an emergency supply and keep it as a spare xx

I know it is, on a maintained dose of steroids, 5MG a day, however when I get a chest infection I get 40MG xx had 8 high doses since September xx and I always use a spacer xx

An inhaler lasting only 2 or 3 days is extremely concerning. One lasting 2 weeks would be concerning. Have they discussed steroids? I absolutely hate prednisone but it usually works wonders for my lungs. Are you using a spacer on your inhaler? It helps them work wayy more effectively

Hope you feel better soon and can get it sorted asap if it was me I would try and find a different doctor one that gives you the amount of inhalers are you actually need? To last you at least a week or two

@Mouse12144 I would change doctors but I would have to change counties as I live near the borders and catchment area and unfortunately I am on waiting list and if I move counties I have to go to the bottom of the new counties waiting list

Thatā€™s bad especially if you have chronic asthma, my doctors cancelled my salbutamol inhaler, because I havenā€™t seen the asthma doctor in two years( Covid/lockdown) I said that give me my prescription as a one off instead they gave me Symbicort which doesnā€™t agree with me, doctors are useless when it comes to asthma related things
