sadly usually you cannot reverse what damage is already done, maybe by a little bit but not by much. your dr is right though, diet really is most of the treatment when your kidneys are failing. depending on what stage you are you might not need to change anything at all! and i agree about seeking out a dietician to help. feel free to message me, i’ve been through dialysis and transplant!
