Dealing with Chronic Kidney Disease: Seeking Support

Hi! my name is Kelly. I am a 32 year old wife and mom of two girls. I have recently been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (along with a host of other conditions) and I'm just having a really hard time getting motivated and being able to manage things. I guess I'm really interested in a support group, or to hear from others who are dealing with similar issues.

Hi Kelly!!! I don't have kidney disease BUT I do take supplements to help my kidneys stay healthy. I do a kidney cleanse I found on Amazon. I drink milk thistle tea. ASK YOUR DOCTOR if you can do these things. Increase water intake decrease A1C level if that's an issue. Mine is 6.2 in January. My goal is under 5.7. It's crazy difficult to not eat carbs. I changed my diet to plant-based, low carb. Strict? Yes, but so worth it. I still have my bad days with food choices. No Saint here. But I don't want anymore medical problems from my poor food choices. Even with your abdominal distinction, try to walk. At least to the corner and back. Maybe around the block on a good day? You can try, a little every single day. Take it a moment at a time. Tell yourself I LOVE YOU when you see you reflection in a mirror, window, anywhere OUT LOUD. Your brain needs to hear it!! It worked for me. You will feel better. Even a whisper will do. ❤️ I hope this helps. Please keep us updated on any progress! I'm here for you. Welcome!

8ve been worried about my kidneys. Have pain some times and type one diabetic. I tried a tsp of baking soda with a bit of salt. Seemed to help clear the ducts. 8n other words look for alternative treatments. I've healed my liver cirrhosis. And got out of gallbladder surgery because I looked and found other answers.

PLEASE, tell me how you healed your liver . I am on my last 2 weeks of hep c treatment . Two months ago my doctor did a noninvasive fabresure blood test and the scale for liver is F1 -F4 and I scored a F4 for cirrhosis . These are just numbers so I am scheduled for a ultra sound this week on my liver to see actual damage. I am terrified . I have a 15 year old and 22 year old son and husband. I have never been a big drinker . I am only 51 and want to live many more years . I appreciate any help.
