Delta-8/9 and PTSD: Is My Psychiatrist Scaring Me?

Found that Delta-8 and 9 help a lot with my PTSD. However, my psychiatrist told me that 8 could cause psychotic episodes and schizophrenia. is this true, or is she just trying to scare me into not doing it?

8 can technically worsen psychosis in those who have those issues already or start them in people predisposed for it, so if you find that to be an effect it's best to stop using it. However if you dont then you dont, ya know? My CPTSD causes delusions and hallucinations and while THC as a general thing is said to worsen it ive noticed its fully strain dependent and as long as I'm concious of that it's fine and even helps with the psychosis symptoms.
