Any recommendations for an anti anxiety/panic attack medication I can take as needed?

      You could try benzos like attivan or Xanax. You could also ask about a beta blocker to help with the physical symptoms and see if that helps keep it from escalating. They're basically blood pressure meds but they can help with high blood pressure and heart rate, sweating, that kind of stuff. My friend uses them for more situational anxiety like big presentations.

      Anything besides hydroxyzine? I already have a prescription for that

      +1 on the hydroxyzine, this helped me a lot with episodes of really intense anxiety last year and I think it has fewer clinical concerns than benzos like attivan and Xanax šŸ‘ so it's a good place to start. Only downside is it might make you sleepy or feel a little foggy.
