SSRIs have never worked for me but an SNRI I started maybe a year ago has done wonders for my anxiety. It's called Effexor/Venlafaxine. I also take hydroxyzine as needed if I'm having a particularly bad anxiety day but since starting Effexor, I haven't needed it nearly as much.

I have taken Lorazepam. It worked for a while but then my body must have gotten used to it and it didn't work anymore. Thanks for writing back it really helps.

For anxiety I take a mix of: Fluoxetine (Prozac/SSRI for overall management/prevention) + Clonazepam (Klonopin/Benzo for panic attacks) + Hydroxyzine (Atarax/daily anxiety management, technically an anti-histamine [like for allergies]) With this mix together things are managed. It did take a while to get to the right doses. Now that I’m, they’re great!

Hydroxyzine works really well for me. I take one in the morning with my other morning meds, and then I can take one later if I need to. It’s extremely helpful for my anxiety 👌🙃

Propanolol. I'm on 10mg twice a day as needed. It works great and doesn't make me feel sleepy. Hydroxyzine made me super aggressive. Propanolol has worked for me for 3 years so far.

I've tried a friend's oxazepam and it works wonders but my body quickly became used to it. Not super helpful info
