Tips for Recovering from Appendix Surgery

Avoid walking around for extended periods of time, lifting heavy items, and laying on your stomach for the first week or two after surgery. Also don't be nervous to take laxatives if clenching your abdomen while taking dookies is too much and/or you become constipated. Keep sun exposure on the scars minimal. Make sure to keep an eye on your incisions! If an infection occurs it's best to treat it as soon as possible.
