Can you be more specific? Are you trying to figure out how to prepare your home environment? It can definitely be anxiety-provoking to get your first surgery!

I liked having a big body/pregnancy pillow, and heating pad and tiger balm. Prep food so you don’t have to put effort into that.

I found it helpful to have someone around for the first 48 hours (at least) to help me sit up (since using abdominal muscles will hurt at first due to incisions), get to the restroom, etc. as needed. But I also have other medical issues that impact my functionality, so take that into consideration. I would suggest foods and lozenges that will soothe your throat, since it will likely be a bit sore after having a breathing tube during anesthesia. I had some painful gas since they pumped air into my abdomen during surgery to make it easier to maneuver their tools or whatever, so maybe get some Gas-X in advance. Have what you need (water, Tylenol, throat lozenges, heating pad, etc.) arranged on a table/nightstand next to the spot you’re planning to rest and recover so you can cut down on the number of times you have to get up to get things.

After laproscopic surgery you are likely to have pain for the next several days. Nevertheless I suggest you walk a little bit more each day because Gastrointestinal and urinary tract function are improved by walking and also it improves blood flow and speeds wound healing.
