For 11 years and counting I’ve had a very tumultuous mental health and self esteem journey. Rn I’m at the point where some days I feel motivated to take on the world in spite of the difficulties in my life. Other days, like today, I feel like there’s no point. Of anything. A very nihilistic point of view. Very exhausted and fatigued. Would like to do nothing but sleep. What do you do on those days? I feel like I’m wasting time just waiting for myself to feel better. I’m trying to find a full time job. I’ve been struggling for so long.

Finding a therapist is like dating. Some just aren’t a good match. Stay open to new approaches too. I did Seth therapy as a kid. I’d been doing CBT for a while after that. Recently, I had a therapist who got into body work/somatic experience. That was pretty eye opening. CBT isn’t so useful for an over-thinker like myself. Somatic is useful for finding early cues in your body.

I’ve been there and went up to 15 then 20. This was years ago. I went back down to 10 after a while. Then 5. Now 0, but need to go back on. I’ve recently gained an appreciation for medication management. It’s hard to handle on your own. I just signed up for Cerebral, cuz I couldn’t find a psychiatrist I liked and I’ve moved around, so it was hard to start over again with a new person multiple times. My first appointment with Cerebral is Mon. Feel free to ask me after if I recommend it
I’m already on Lexapro, 10 mg. Worked for a while but I feel like it’s plateaued at this point.
R u open to medication? They can help with predictability and staying generally consistent with mood
