I’m losing weight and it’s scary. Eating is a daily battle and I hate it. Any tips on how to get out of the “food is punishment” mindset. I love to cook and I love how good smells but I know that when I eat it is going to hurt and I’m really struggling with nausea, appetite, early satiety, and abdominal pain after eating. It’s nuts because the swallowing is actually the least of my issues lately. I’m on an elimination diet and so that’s limiting and I’ve changed so much about my diet this year. I’m having trouble staying positive.

Eating is a daily battle for me too. You’re not alone. One meal at a time, one day at a time. I try to keep a good spirit, but it is hard. Hugs 🤗

Anyone know how to get rid of early satiety? I’ve experienced it this week it’s so strange bc I used to be able to eat so much food

100% weed has been so helpful getting me to eat. Liquid calories can also be helpful and if you have the leeway on your elimination diet then just eat the highest calorie foods you can. Also wearing loose clothes helped me with the stomach pain. I’m sorry you’re going through that and I hope you get some answers soon!

Im in a similar situation and Ive lost a lot of weight because even the thought of food can sometimes make me nauseous. I take Prilosec and Famotidine daily, but I've found that using medical marijuana right before I eat can usually help settle my stomach enough to eat a decent amount.

Lol yeah. My pcp is useless. I have a gastro. I have an EGD colonoscopy scheduled. I finally got a referral for a dietician, but it only took losing 30 lbs

You may need a different heartburn medication. I had to try out a few before i found the right one. Also i really REALLY recommend seeing your primary doctor as this could be a much larger issue. The early satiety and abdominal pain is especially concerning. Even if your doctor prescribed this diet you should still talk to them as soon as possible.

Hey! Some positive, pain-free eating experiences will help you change your mindset. Have you tried taking PPI before eating? It resolves all my complaints.
