Help! Dealing with Gastroparesis Flare Up Pain

I’m experiencing a flare up with my gastroparesis. The pain is insane! I love food - everything about it. From preparing it to serving it to my family. I know my limitations but being around people that can eat is literally- killing me 😢 Today my tummy pain alone is at a solid 8 and the day is young. Help!

Have you all tried sucralfate? I literally have to take it before and a after eating I love food too but it surely doesn't like me even after my gpoem surgery if I bemd over to tie my shoes or shave my legs the bile just comes out of my nose and mouth and I get lesions in my nose and mouth from it.

I’m sorry and I feel your pain. The problem with mine is that I can’t eat or drink anything without it coming back up without warning. I’ve given up so many foods because of it and I’m also a foodie. When I don’t feel quite right, I sip some ice cold water and close my eyes and try to “trace” the feeling of it going down. I’ve found that in doing so, it also helps with some of the pain. I’ve also started keeping a gallon of water with sliced cucumber and lemons in the fridge. It helps with digestion and a ton of other benefits. I hope this helps in some way.
