Hi first time using this app! I’ve been a little more blue than my peers for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been the very serious type. Very hard worker, and normally this hard work pays off. In college when my hard work stopped paying off as directly, I think this started a snowball effect of not being motivated to try hard and I’ve been trying to dig myself out of this pit for about 5 years. Does anyone here have experience or advice for motivating yourself through a difficult time when direction and a goal is hard to articulate? How do you function when going through a flare up of depression?

Dont take my advice but so far it has worked. Literally learn about drugs and find the one that makes you happy. Fuck everyone who says drugs are bad. Literally doctors prescribe drugs all the time. Understand the drugs, how they work, and then get them with any means possible.

First breath if your stressing out and any time your mind wanders to extremes stop and focus on what you can control, if you can see your next step in life you have a path and are going to succeed. I came from extreme depression and to be honest what helped me was sports but I’d say find something to enjoy and get good at and work towardsz
