Zoning out and anxiety: Am I alone?

For me it's usually the opposite, zoning out is a way for the mind to protect itself from experiences that may be too overwhelming. It happens to me when I meet many people and just feel too much stress from all the interactions. I think it could be a trigger to anxiety if you criticize yourself on the need to zone out from time to time.

Depersonalization puts me into panic attacks. I feel it all day long it’s terrible

i have a fear of going into a depersonalization episode again so i think this is why it triggers my anxiety

I feel like I have experienced that. Sometimes when my brain isn't on overdrive, that's when the anxiety creeps in.
