I feel this! Sometimes I just feel like nothing is real.

I totally relate to this, when my ocd is incredibly strong and I’m really stressed out that’s when I feel the being in my head rather than present. That’s my cue that I need to calm down because I’m feeling extremely stressed.

I also find the same thing for myself at night. Incredibly intrusive thoughts. I’ve found that turning all the lights on helps me out. I’ve also discovered that changing the hue of my lights has really helped! I’m triggered by warm light, so a white light definitely helps me.

Yes, so so so much. I zone out, or I’m just staring at myself in the mirror for a wild amount of time and intent, trying to “recognize” and “understand” what I’m seeing. I struggle to feel grounded and I often feel like if I were to go to sleep, I would be “waking up” from the “dream” I’m currently having, which really is just reality and I’m awake.

Yeah I totally understand. For the last few years I've felt so out of body. I kinda just feel like my whole life is me watching a movie.

yes definitely. i struggle with derealization mainly and it’s very frightening alone, even more so when i get intrusive thoughts. i know this probably isn’t helpful but like 90% of the time this happens is at night, so i just try really hard to go to sleep. sometimes it’s really hard but i try not to feed into the thoughts by stressing over them. best of luck!
