I have severe vertigo as well and they believe mine is caused by optic migraines, but they actually give me a seizure medicine called Topamax to help treat it. When I get really sick my brain kinda freezes up and my body stiffens and I feel like I'm having a seizure of sorts.

I had one seizure and they played it off as a pseudo- seizure and like it was no big deal but I was seizing for hours on end and have been dizzy ever since. I’m sorry your doctor won’t listen to you, i definitely understand. I would ask your doctor for an eeg and if it continues possibly an overnight eeg that you can wear at home to see if it can monitor one of these attacks. I’m hoping you find some relief and answers

I’m sorry you’re going through this :( have you had seizures before? If so, I’d say it’s possible for the vertigo to be related to a seizure, but then again, it might just be vertigo. But also, if you’re more prone to seizures it definitely COULD be seizure related. Keep talking to your doctor about it, for now when and if you have another episode, make sure to hydrate and lay down. You will get through this :)

@Beanbuns thank you very much I’m just afraid of my vertigo it literally affects my whole day
@LixiKat I understand. We’re here for you.
Your doctor doesn’t believe you about your vertigo and chest pain or they don’t believe that what you are experiencing is a seizure?
@Y0g1 they don’t believe me about my vertigo being a possible seizure
@LixiKat that’s so hard. My sister had begun to get random seizures (mini ones) and essentially it took so long for anyone to believe her that they were really happening and she wasn’t doing them for attention. I hope you find a doctor who cares and are able to find the help and treatment to make you feel like yourself
