You have to keep moving. Pay attention to what you eat that makes you hurt worse and try to eliminate that from your diet. I am a firm believer that this inflammation comes from our gut.
Reduce or eliminate alcohol, and sugar, red meat, bread and bad oils! It is hard but will help with inflammation which cause most of the pain.
