In general it's a sleep issue. If you can mention it to a doctor it's most likely a symptom of a disorder.

@NearpTude hahaha I’m in the process of getting an adhd diagnosis and this is something else I’ll add to the lousy haha
i do the exact same thing!!! it could definitely be revenge sleep procrastinate but there could also be components of wanting to isolate yourself as well if you relate to that sort of thing. i usually do it because i enjoy keeping to myself and shutting out the world as much as possible.
It's called Revenge Sleep Procrastination. You'd rather be up late at night because it's the safest time for people with ADHD to be productive without anyone demanding anything of them. I have it too.

I have done that, and still do sometimes. It might be worth looking into “revenge sleep procrastinating.” Even if that’s not the case (although it does sound like it very well could be), there might be some tips that will help you.

Honestly sounds A LOT like undiagnosed ADHD I didn’t know for a long long time that I had it found out this year I am 22. But hearing things like this attributed with it gave me so much to finally put a name to it.
Probably has to do with depression. I’ve noticed I don’t do this as much when I’m feeling less depressed
