I'm going to get my license in July and what I was thinking about is just stocking your car. Make sure you have glucose tablets or something in there, as well as a glucagon or baqsimi. It might be smart to have a mini insulin kit in the car (if you can afford it)

i used to keep a little basket of snacks in my car for lows. also let any passengers know where my glucagon or basquimi is. check before driving ofc if u don't have a dex. especially especially if it's a long ride. it can be scary starting but you learn what works for you!!! congrats and good luck!!

Keep juice an crackers in your car at all times cause you never know when you’ll need it. And just make sure your bg isn’t low before you start. 🤗

I have a dexcom cgm which alerts me if my blood glucose is falling or rising quickly, and I always carry glucose gummies with me. If you feel like you’re going low or really high, just pull over, administer treatment and wait until it’s safe to drive again.
