Meditation and exercise helps me a lot.
Fell better in what way? In general, even on really bad days, I try to get out to see the sun even just a little bit. Go for a super short walk, journal, listen to music that makes you happy, watch a tv show or music you like, If you like drawing or coloring or some other kind of craft spend some time doing that.

@Texas this is an underrated comment. The more you journal the more you can delve into the real you. Chronic pain is highly connected in our brains to emotional pain. A lot of us have buried a lot of things and we sometimes forget what those things were. But like radioactive waste, it slowly corrupts our bodies and minds. Journaling is like a radiation detector. It helps detect our hidden desires so we can manage them instead of them managing us.
