TW: CSA Hello everyone, I’ve been dealing with a pretty big problem this year. Back in 2008, when I was 8 years old, I was assaulted s*xually and I still haven’t recovered. When the incident happened, I was laying on the floor. Now, I’m 22 years old and I sleep on a thin mattress on the floor with my fiancé. Just laying on the floor just makes me feel absolutely disgusting and brings up traumatic memories. Occasionally I’ll sleep on the couch, which my fiancé completely understands, but we don’t like being apart when we sleep. I currently can’t afford to buy a bed frame or anything like that sadly. Has anyone felt something similar? It makes it so hard to sleep and I feel like I’m constantly on guard.
