Does anyone have tips for grieving a loved one? It’s been way over a year and I still feel like talking with her every day. I am in therapy and I am definitely way more stable now than ever. I find myself holding my tongue when talking to anyone because i just want to talk about her to my family and friends but they just say sorry. I don’t want anyone to feel bad for me but my life is not the same without my best friend. We spoke over long distance since I was in middle school so nobody in my life actually knows her. I write letters to her all the time. thanks guys

I do the same thing with the letters. I lost my dad, my best friend, then my last grandparent. His mom within a couple years of each other. I get what you're saying. If I speak about my dad I always cry and people only say sorry, I suppose because that's a part of life. But like you, I go to therapy and have made the decision on my own to write letters, at least a few times a year. I try to maintain giving him cards on his birthday and major holidays. I have some of his ashes and a memory box with many things inside that were his or remind me of him. So I write letters and all and put them inside the chest for him to read. If that makes sense. Lol. But it helps me feel as if we're still able to communicate and he knows I'll never forget him and how much I love him.
