      I have had a long time going between being accepted or being the outcast in my family due to generational trauma and years of damage, most of it emotional. I feel overwhelmed, watched, and abused psychologically to the point where I can no longer have a safe space. It’s scary but when I read about stories and experiences similar to mines I feel vindicated and less lonely

        @Beloved_ I used to do read others’ stories, too, whenever I had to go to my relatives during the holidays. Sometimes I’d even bookmark things to read beforehand as an “if I need this urgently” preparation. That, or I’d print things out in very small print and slip them into a school folder so I had an excuse to go in the home office there, by myself, and also wouldn’t get scolded by random relatives for being on my phone whilst there.

      That's very kind of you. Half of me wants to go for the food. The other half of me wants to claim migraine or possible covid and eat the cake I'm baking tomorrow. I'm gonna go. But I'm bringing the cake home. Haha
