Hello, I have been taking college midterms for two semesters, and I am noticing that depsite my accommodations I still cannot test for the life of me. My therapist has decided to have me try brain spotting (a nice little music playlist) to see if that helps my cortisol while testing. I know the material pretty darn well when I study, and I can hype myself up but then I take the test and forget a lot or get nervous about details I’ll miss and such. It sucks. I am a stem student at a tough school and love the material I learn, but the moment I take a test it all just slips away, and you can’t exactly pass the class if you can’t test. I wanna pass, I need a C to be able to use these classes for the next classes I’m going to take (that I will be much more passionate about!!), but they make it practically impossible, which I get is kind of the point, but I get horrible imposter syndrome when this happens and almost every exam I take I just do horribly. I have two classes I am just fine in which is a good motivator but I wanna know everyone else’s experiences with brain spotting (which I’m sure works for some not for others, so far regularly has helped me just when I get stressed) and how you have worked through test anxiety in college? High school was fine, I didn’t do amazing but I got off with a lot of tests because they were weighted less and/or because of pandemic year they didn’t grade super harshly. But I know I can do it, I only have doubts when the school tells me I can’t because I did bad on one test.

So, tbh sometimes id cheat but if you don't wanna do that I've got some other stuff I'd do. I'd use quizlet and use word association. For example how does blood clot for a wound, plates, platelets. I'll do that for the day before and the day of. But I dont ever worry or stress about it, like I don't think about it, especially to the point of stressing me out. You could make up a song about it, that how I remember formulas. But you can also take cbd or drink ashawaganda tea for stress.
