I always make these with the good intention. But I never really am able to stick with these type of platform. I suck at going to therapy because I feel too self aware and still in the position to not do anything about my issues. My current issues to date is my binge eating disorder and my pmdd.

@SadMom95 I was receptive, many of the things she told me I already did and didn’t help me

The thing with therapists is you have to be receptive of them. They may say things you don't want to hear, but sometimes we need that.

I am very self aware and strive to learn as much about myself as I can. If I'm being honest, a lot of times I think I'm better than therapy and that's not true at all. I use therapy not as a tool but as an outlet. I get my feelings out, my frustrations, etc. They'll give me advice I've heard a million times but as long as I've been completely open and honest, I HAVE gotten useful advice. But as I said, I use it as an outlet, not a tool. I think sometimes we fall into this, well I've already been there, I'm to tired, to worn down and Im sick of fighting. Sometimes we feel it's a waste of time and money, and in a lot of cases I can agree with that. Finding the right therapist for you is not easy but if you truly WANT to get better, you HAVE to keep going and advocate for yourself. If you don't like your therapist, find a new one. Keep doing it. Is it exhausting? For sure. But in the end you will find the right one. Don't give up

@SadMom95 I’m not the one that believed that they’re above therapy! I just haven’t found anyone that is… impactful. Saw the same therapist for like four months and it’s just difficult.

@Paulie it’s so tough! It’s like going on a bunch of awkward first dates until you find one that fits. Just keep trying- once you find your person, it will be worth it!

Honestly, me too- somehow this app is better and more engaging than anything I’ve tried before, so I’ve stuck with it for about 6mo now. Don’t give up! Also, sounds like you just need a smarter therapist- have you tried seeing someone with a PhD in psychology?

@Jules26 probably, I just feel like I’m too self aware and everything they suggest I have already tried and it didn’t work and so on

Have you tried online therapy (aka: teletherapy)?
