Struggling with Medication: Feeling Stuck and Unhappy

bit of a vent and question ive been on the same meds for years. doc keeps upping the dose but they don't work like other people's? fully medicated I am not happy I don't enjoy things or people I'm constantly irritated and just not living all it does is keep me from 💀 myself or others (for legal reasons that's a joke) I'm on SO many high doses I'm afraid to switch Dr's and start over again and my current dr says "🤷‍♀️idk what you want to do I cant add anymore or increase dose " counsler mentioned experimental drugs i said 100% would try but that's all that was said I want to at least sometimes enjoy life again but feel stuck. what would u do?

      ❤️ im sorry to hear that it hasn't worked well for you :(( I would definitely think of maybe trying a different medication? I know its really scary to start over though but I hope it all works out for you:((

      There are genetic screenings that can help tell you if certain drugs are likely or not to work for you. That helps the experimentation process. Your doc can help with dosing, but if you are just seeing a GP, I can't recommend enough to go to a psychiatrist.

      The only one offered to me i can't take so idk what other prescription would help me. I'm very lost myself.

      There are SO many meds and med combos that could help. Ask for more options !!!!
