Struggling with Demotion and Mental Health

When will my life get better? When it rains, it freaking downpours like a hurricane. Today I got demoted at work and I know I was going to reduce my hours and step down to a regular staff anyway but I didn't want to step down, I was only doing it for my mental health. So why am I so upset?? I wonder if it's because they beat me to the punch? Like I wanted to step down on my own terms type of thing. I have to work all week and I don't know how I'm going to get through I just want to cry so badly and I can't because of course I'm stuck at work. They took me off the schedule completely for next week already and took me out of the supervisory chat. The reason they demoted me was because of my "attendance" but I've been very open and honest with them in telling them that I'm really struggling with my mental health right now but I guess they weren't as understanding as I thought...
