Anyone else struggle undoing their anxiety rituals? For example, I have health anxiety lately. I struggle the most with convincing myself sleep is only scary because I can't control anything when sleeping. I check my pulse, temperature, and do a part by part mental assessment of how I'm feeling to ensure myself I'm okay. But I can't stop now. I keep telling myself stopping these things won't cause anything. But the intrusive thoughts get worse when I do. I've gotten to the point that I can usually quell the thoughts but when they're this intense I just end up staying awake till 2am. the issue being I wake up at 6 to see my fiance off to work, and I started a new job so I now stay up from 6 to go to work at 10:30, get home at almost 7, cook dinner, and repeat all without caffeine. I had been getting naps before I started working.
