Between being sick, body-shamed by family, having to arrange a big surprise for my mom's re-birthday, and breaking out worse than I have in years, I'm really struggling to keep my headspace balanced. I can feel myself falling into a slump, but with so many holidays and important events coming up, I don't want to ruin everyone's time. I've struggled with these feelings since childhood (mostly due to outright being told I "always do this [ruin things by breaking down]" and being reprimanded for crying) - old habits die hard, I guess. I just hope I can fake an upbeat attitude until I'm able to wallow in my storage room of a bedroom. (Yes, my family uses my room for storage. And, yes, I am constantly nagged about how it's messy despite it not being my decision or stuff.)

I’m proud of you for all the work you’ve been putting into yourself so far! My family uses my room for storage too so I feel you there, I just try to keep everything that isn’t mine on another side of the room. Maybe try doing some guided meditations, it’s amazing what wonders a 3 minute breathing exercise can do when you’re stressed out.

@Yuna - Thank you, Yuna (I love your name, by the way)! It's hard for me to separate the pieces, considering we live in a matchbox apartment. The room I'm in is even less spacious because it has my mom's old bed (King) in it, when I'm totally fine with a Twin or Single. But, she always blames me and says, "well, if you didn't have so much stuff in there, maybe we could move things". I'm sorry you have to deal with the same thing. It sometimes hurts me because I don't feel like a person with a bedroom, I feel like part of the clutter. ): I've been trying some grounding techniques, but maybe meditation would be better in this circumstance. I'll certainly give it a try! (:

@moodymermaid3690 if you don’t have much room maybe you can put up a curtain of some sort to just keep it out of view. Your room would look smaller but it might help you separate yourself from the clutter
