I'm a new mom of a 3-month-old and my god it's hard. Trying to just keep on keeping on but it's hard. Even though I live with my parents and husband I'm alone with the baby most of the time because they all work. I'm only 19 so I really have a lot to figure out still. Trying to find more people to talk to so I feel less alone all day. That's all..

Obligatory if you feel you're having signs of post partum depression or similar seeking a therapist for help may be your best option. However those really early stages where they are 100% dependent on you is incredibly hard even without added mental stressors, keep in mind that they're only reliant for so long and things will go back to a more (but still different) normal. It's a blessing and a curse because it's hard and stressful but they're so cute and affectionate when they're tiny. Try your best to reduce stressors and reach out to your support systems, it could be a good idea to join a baby group or two and try seeing if any of your friends are interested in visiting you at home more often to see if more socializing can help your mood and sometimes new hobbies that can be done with small children around can be beneficial. Make sure you're doing what you can to care for yourself in this stressful time period!

Are you able to get outside more and attend baby groups ? It can be isolating staying inside all day. If these feelings are overwhelming I'd talk to your GP/ health visitor ( if in the UK) or your doctor if in the US. You could also reach out to a local mental health charity. Even just getting fresh air can help. I would ask on your local social media about meet ups / sessions for mums and babies . Sending hugs to you , I've been through post natal depression and post natal psychosis.
