Are there certain things you do to help yourself calm down and not be so grouchy with the world? My baby girl turns 7 weeks on Monday and is super colicky, so I maybe get to sleep for a couple of hours a day. My husband works nights and sleeps through the day, so it feels like I'm doing absolutely everything and not getting a break. And when he does finally wake up and offers to help with her, I'm too bitter and my brain says that I've had her all day so might as well continue taking care of her and then at least I know I'm trying to calm her down. Between the depression and anxiety I had before I was pregnant, I just feel so on edge. And the thought of talking to him to tell him what I actually need just makes me breakdown. I know I'm just causing myself more issues, but I think I just need to vent to someone outside of my house. Note: meds have always made me feel worse and I'm waiting to get into a counselor.

Makay if you are a first time mommy just try to enjoy your baby and don’t stress on all the things you have to do. Your baby will grow up so fast and it will be much easier. Let your husband help out when he can it will give you time to do something you miss doing or maybe get a chore done. It will get better. Believe me I am a mom of 4 grown adults and 5 grandkids.I am open to questions if you need me

Sometimes counselors will help. It will help with all the frustration that's built up and you can understand your husband more I used to be the same way but I had to find time to cope with all of this sometimes taking a deep breath and exhaling it will try to keep you come

Wow I could have wrote this myself. My husband also works nights and sleeps during the day. I'm so alone. I just had an appointment with my ob today and she prescribed Wellbutrin. I'm hoping it helps

Being a new mom is hard. Hang in there girl. Have you talked to your baby's doctor to see what's causing the issue? But if you ever need to vent my inbox is always open. Also rather then trying to explain to your husband what you need it might help to write him a letter or text. Sounds like you also could be going through some ppd
