So a few nights ago I had a dream well a nightmare honestly about like it had to do with my phobia, trypophobia and like I know if people find that weird like fear holes, but it’s hole clusters in gen, for me its to do with holes on the skin like you know what I mean? I’m not going to describe it anyways the nightmare I had a bunch of like disgusting looking holes on the side of my face. Every time I try to wipe them off it wouldn’t go away even if i wash my face. I woke up, super anxious and nervous like heavy breathing. Then Every time I close my eyes trying to go back to sleep, I just kept seeing myself with that and it was horrible. I think it took me maybe like 15-20 minutes to calm down and finally go back to sleep anyway that was the most anxiety inducing thing I’ve ever experience in a dream.

I have had such dreams about phobias I have. Personally you have to trick your mind into liking the phobia in your dreams. You have holes in your face? Control your dream and make it look like a halloween costume. You are still mentally aware while asleep. You can change your dreams. If you wake up because a nightmare like that. Just go into the bathroom and look at yourself in the mirror. Don't wash your face, don't do anything Excel maybe touch your face soflty. Tell yourself, "this is me". Say it out loud if needed. Take deep breaths. Go do something small to get your mind off things, then go back to bed. Repeat until your mind begins to believe what you want it to
I’ve had the exact same experience but my dream was my hand 🥲 honestly what has helped me from not getting anxiety about it anymore of forcing myself to get distracted whenever i thought about holes. and through time our brain just adjusts to not think too long about holes anymore because our minds can be tricked!!
