i’ve had this habit of years where i pick and leave it all on the mirror. my mom used to have to drag me away physically it was so bad i would pic for hours and it’d feel like minutes . i recently moved in with my dad 6 months ago after my mom (the only person who understood about my condition because she had it too) passed away and have been struggling with picking. i still do the gross habit of leaving it on the mirror… i don’t want to tell him about my condition because i’m scared he won’t believe me. i’m going to try breaking this habit of leaving it on the mirror because it’s so gross i feel ashamed.. when i finally snap out of an hour long episode and finally pull myself away from the mirror i’m so physically sick and dizzy and shaking that i forget all about leaving it on the mirror. i could clean it right after i pick but seeing the mirror is just gonna trigger me again. i’ve set reminders on my phone to clean it now, but does anyone else have this habit?

Is it the scabs you leave? I don't leave evidence of my picking, but I do it constantly. I need everything smooth and so I dig at anything, which always makes it un-smooth. Unfortunately, most people don't understand and will just tell you to just stop, not believing that it's a condition and that we'd give anything to stop. 😥
