Hi alikes 👋 4 months ago, I had the Mirena coil put in, and I was looking for guidance from people who also have the mirena and if its not just me who is experiencing daily cramping pain? I currently need to take pain relief as soon as I leave bed :(

      Have you had a scan? When I first got mine I was in pain, but it wasn't inserted correctly. Now that it is in correctly I don't feel anything. I really like it a lot.

      The mirena iud did not work for me. I kept it in for almost a year because my OBGYN said it can take 6 months to adjust to it and I always have taken longer to adjust to other birth control methods so I thought I could push through. However, that was not the case and I got it removed. I had cramping almost everyday and some days pretty severe. I had it checked a lot to make sure it was placed correctly and everything was ok, and it was. My body just didn’t like it.

      When I had it the first time, I had it removed after 3 months of nonstop bleeding. Got it in October and had it removed in February. So far now I don't have any problems and have it since November. Please speak to your obgyn. Maybe it's not sitting right or your body can't take it
