I feel like such a failure. I was supposed to go to work today and had a full blown panic attack and couldn't go. I don't know how to get past this. I feel like the meds are making this worse...

Drs won't prescribe Xanax where I live even though it has helped me sleep in the past

I'd try switching meds or stopping altogether. I had Xanax for my anxiety and the meds made it worse. I've always had adverse reactions to meds.

You are not a failure. Your well being goes above all else. You can't do good at work if you are not feeling good

I get overwhelmed with emotions too & I called in for a mental health day and couldn't get it excused then I've been late several times and it cost me my job I shouldn't have called off because I got 3 points & 2 points for being late several times without calling in which is only 1 point Idk how not to be late I feel like I can get up early and still be late No job understands a mental breakdown & I'm afraid to put my condition on an application cuz I'm afraid I will get fired

Hi! Sorry to hear that, rest and take your time to feel better. What meds are you on?

@Lindss I was put on zoloft. Honestly feel like my anxiety has gotten so much worse

@mem0000 hmm, I know they take a few weeks to build in your system and really start helping, but if you are past that you should tell your doctor. Finding the right meds and dosages are trial and error. I never tried Zoloft but I have been on and off of Effexor, prozac, Wellbutrin, and a few more!
