hey everyone. would love to hear if any medications work for you all? (I know everyone is different) I tried lexapro but only for one day and side effects made me so much worse for only day. anxiety gets so bad at times so kind of want to try something else. would love to hear who they worked for and who they didn't. thanks

Hello Kay3 personally the doctor's told me to take Escitalopram because my anxiety was making me feel scared and like crying like I couldn't control it as if something was going to happen to me but I tried this all natural herbal tablets by Nature's Bounty Anxiety and Stress Relief Ashwagandha KSM -66 and they make me feel great 2 tabs daily I feel more calm maybe you should try them out and see how they work for you hope they work for you also

See if you can get a GeneSight test. It helped me narrow down which meds might help me without too many side effects

I was given Prozac for my anxiety and PMDD, but it ended up only helping my anxiety, which sucks for me and my depression, but it was extremely helpful for my anxiety. not sure if doctors prescribe that for just anxiety, but might be worth a shot! :)

Tried celexa, lexapro, Effexor, cymbalta, and zoloft and all gave me horrendous side effects. Even with taking clonazepam to take the edge off when starting them. I was prescribed Prozac but too scared to take it after all those others caused me to feel so bad

omg so sorry to hear that! What side effects did you get? I literally took lexapro for one night! Like how do people keep taking it with such awful side effects. But I really want to be better

I use a mix of Prozac and Seroquel. For me Seroquel is absolutely magical, it helps me sleep, keeps my mood in check and still allows me to feel my feelings. Clonodine was also helpful, but I am not allowed to take it anymore because of my chronic illness

Apparently Zoloft is supposed to have some nasty side effects but I only got the rare, dangerous ones 😂 it works super well for my anxiety though, but that may be because I actually only have a mild anxiety disorder, what they thought was a severe panic disorder was actually a heart problem

Zoloft isn't too bad ,but makes me sleepy. I have issues sleeping though so it helps me sleep.

Zoloft isn't too bad. For anxiety and depression.
