Anxious. I'd be the same way without my xanaxes been that way anti depressants don't seem to work for me and I'm so scared to try this new one. Because I took pacil back in may and it caused me to have a panic attack and burning sensation. In my chest and belly and was shaking so bad I thought I was having a seizure.

I do not know if it cures but for me it definitely helps! I practice meditation and mindfulness and in the moments when I experience panic attacks I use the relaxation methods I learned ... maybe you should try to combine breathing / mindfulness exercises with the medicine and try to see how it helps you.

I have the same problem except I am scared to take my Ativan and anti depression meds have made it worst. Idk what to do but I don’t leave home half the days I can’t leave my couch. Sometimes it’s hard to sleep. I panic I cry I feel terrible. I’m so scared I need somewhat of a life back 😭

Most doctors don’t recommend Xanax as constant treatment, because its effect wears off and it causes dependency. Are you treated with anything else? Any ssri?

It's the society we live in

@Zane yes that is my problem. They say Xanax is a gateway to other pills and drugs but I have never abused my xanaxes, don't even like taking them other than they help with my anxiety and panic.

I've been on Xanax ever since I developed panic disorder during a C-section with my baby I've tried like 10 different anti depressants and none seem to help a few have had very bad effects on me and sent me into a panic attack. And had to go to hospital because thought I had allergic reactions. Without my xanaxes I can't ride, be home alone, and I haven't been able to drive in two years.

I have the same problem people just think I wanna get "high" but it actually helps the constant feeling of never being able to be comfortable and when I take my meds it helps yes I'm gonna seek that

They may want to take you off of it because certain medications used for anxiety can cause adverse affects if taken consistently for an extended time. Benzodiazepines aren't really designed to live off of. But sometimes it's so bad, there's not much choice. I used to be on Klonopin, it started to affect my memory and focusing.

There is no cure. With therapy and medication it can be managed, but there is no cure for it.
