Anyone ever gotten a pain management specialist or a care manager to help balance multiple conditions? I feel like I’m drowning.

@Goingnumb Are you also sensitive to nickel? Stainless steel jewelry? I have MS in my family and suspect there may be a connection. Many health foods contain high amounts of nickel, with increased sensitivities it is logical to suspect a metal that bonds easily and is difficult to metabolize will cause lesions on the brain and increased pain in muscles and joints.

I have not, but now that I think about it I might consider it.

I went to a physiatrist...pain specialist...only to be told that she can't take on anymore patients because of the crackdown on opioid. The don't understand that if the pain is bad enough, if they still deny me pills, I'll end up with powders, if you get me. It's the powders that kill.

Yes, it was super helpful! I went once to get an injection for lower back pain relief and then we also discussed the different options for other meds and I was really satisfied from that meeting!

I’m so scared of pain meds because of all the terrible ED doctors who decided to berate me instead of help me.

I tried pain management because I can barely walk. After three years of not helping me and telling me I’m making it up, I’m “anxious,” or that “it’s all in my head;” he told me that when if I LEAVE MY HUSBAND MY PAIN WILL GO AWAY. I never went back. A couple months later I got diagnosed with MS. The misogyny is strong with that guy 🙄 I really hate doctors, they have given me severe medical ptsd after 8 years of this shit.

No, I haven’t! I’ve tried physical therapy though and the things I was taught there were pretty helpful with some of my pelvic pain. I’m not sure how helpful pain management is. I might look into it though.
