Struggling with Pain After Back Surgery

I am so sorry to hear this. 😥😥😥 I know how you feel with your day/night debilitating back pain. I slipped on black ice under fluffy snow and fell on a concrete curb next to where I parked my car and fractured L4/L5 and L5/S1 in 2013. I also hit my head and had a concussion. I was put in a medically induced coma for 5 days to wait for the swelling to go down before surgery. Then, I had fusion using bone from my hip to fix my vertebrae(s) with a rod, titanium cage and screws. The doctor nicked 2 of my nerves. I have permanent nerve damage on my whole right side. After the trauma of the fall my body developed fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Everyday is a challenge with anxiety, depression and panic attacks, but I somehow I make it through. The best thing I did was start aquatic pool therapy in September of 2021 to strengthen my muscles and core. I came in a wheelchair. I have improved to walking with a cane. I am in the pool for an hour. I cannot believe how much I can do while I am in the 95 degree water. I built up my strength to walk a mile on the underwater treadmill at 2 mph for 30 minutes. Now, I am working on standing for longer than 5 minutes. I am grateful for everyday as there are a lot of people worse off than I am. I wish I was a mermaid and could live in the water! So therapeutic for me. The pool is not that big. It holds 3-4 people at a time to work in the water. Have you ever tried aquatic therapy?
