Hi I’ve had both replaced as well, the left one three times because it came loose after a month then was infected. Both knees and both shoulders as well. The right shoulder done a year ago still killing me and is also most likely infected waiting to have it scoped to make sure then re replaced like my hip. Also waiting for spine surgery need to figure out which to do first. I feel for you, but I don’t understand why they removed yours altogether!!! Why did they do that and who did it and where?? I agree keep looking, there has to be someone who knows how to help you!!

Do you have a teaching hospital in your area? I was referred to a specialist at a teaching hospital before an amputation. When I flew to see the doctor, I had no ankle joint. I now have a fused ankle and have to wear special boots, but I can walk. It's been 15 years and I'm thankful I saw the specialist.
