Some days are better than others. I walk with a limp. One Ortho recommends a hip replacement.

that should be the last thing that a doctor suggests! Have you tried going to a chiropractor? It helps with the pain symptoms for me.

I had to go to multiple doctors to find one who took me seriously. You'll be able to tell when they do! But it can certainly be a journey, I wish you the best

i have hip impingement syndrome, honestly it’s worth looking into. both my hips have cam deformities that tore both my labrums just by grinding into them. i thought hip pain was a totally normal thing up until i saw a good doctor. i don’t know if you’ve had any mris done of your hips but i had them done with a fluoroscopy/steroid injection at the same time to avoid wasting time on the latter if they failed (they did). but then at least we knew that surgery was the right option because of the osteoarthritis they found in a 17 year olds hip. that was the best test i’ve ever had done even if i hate needles. i’ve done one hip so far in surgery and waiting to the next this summer. if i wouldn’t have found them i would’ve been looking at a double hip replacement by 20, i would suggest a total hip scan as well!

I'm glad to hear that it isn't A.N. I would definitely ask your doctor to have a total scan done of your entire hip area. Hip pain can be very debilitating. Try to find the issue early and it should be easier to deal with.

I suggest you get immediate care for any hip pain. Mine turned out to be Avascular Necrosis, a condition where the hip joint wasn't getting blood flow and began literally dying. Since 2017 I've had both hips replaced. But then I'm an old man. I would seriously look into it while you're still quite young.

I’ve been tested for the avascular necrosis and it’s not that from what I know. Just testing is a nightmare
